Last night Bethany Academy ,a team with no losses as of yet this year went head to head with our Lady Wolves. The first half our Lady Wolves struggled to stay within 2 points of this phenomenal girls team. Bethany led off with a 3 pointer and D. J. Bland answered back with two of her own. Thanks to some great defense led by Rashlin Robinson and Dontrayia Cole these two teams pts ping ponged back and forth throughout the first half. During the last 2 minutes of the first half our girls seemed to lose some of their steam and when the half time buzzer sounded we were down by 10. Going in to the second half reports were, that our girls confidence had been shaken severely, and we just were not seeing any effort as we have in the past. All of the girls played last night including our J.V. and when the final buzzer sounded the Lady Wolves lost by 19. We’ll get them next time.

Here’s an update for Sat Jan 8th the girls game has been cancelled! We are rescheduling, but let’s not miss our boys game downtown at the Target Center at 12:00 P.M. The cost is $10.00 per ticket.

The girls next home game is Tues Jan 11th at 5:00 P.M. It would be nice to see everyone there to support our girls and see a little MTS record set. D.J. Bland is approximately 2 pts away from dropping her 1000th point. I believe this is a record for an MTS girl, correct me if I’m wrong.
